"I'm Not Making This Up!  It Really Happened!"

With these words, Dr. Oswald Hoffmann wove a marvelous series of stories and narratives together, drawing us right into the Christmas story of God's Son coming to this world on Christmas Day.  What a blessing that made of our First Sunday in Advent celebrations!  The reminder that the stories about Jesus "aren't just fairy tales." but truths more real than anything we have ever experienced, did much to prepare our hearts for celebrating anew the Christ Child's arrival to our world.

The music of Dave Anderson (Barb, unfortunately, was ill), Dan Wickman and Dale Pust was truly inspiring.  Usually, when I'm subliminally barraged by the "muzak" versions of the Christmas music in the malls or stores, or assaulted by the rock stars' renditions of tender hymns, I get annoyed.  Not this year.  All they do is remind me of the Joy and Love that God has for his people and of what the real music of the season is like.  That's what I had hoped the Advent Eve concert would do for us.  Our prayer is that your Advent and Christmas preparations are full of the Joy of Jesus' presence in your lives and families.

Also important during the Christmas season is the fellowship we enjoy together as brothers and sisters in Christ's Trinity Family.  And so, in this spirit of fellowship...
