Mission and Vision Statements

The mission of Family of Christ Lutheran Church is summed up in the phrase:

SEEK, SERVE, SEND

We view our evangelism goal to seek those who need our help, to serve them with the utmost of our resources, and then send out more people to continue the cycle of evangelism.

Vision Statement

To fulfill this mission we seek to understand God's vision for our Center and make it a reality. We believe God's vision for Family Christian Child Care Center is:

Preparing families to reach the world through nurturing every aspect of a child's development.

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me." We endeavor to create an environment that brings children and their families closer to the Lord and to the full life He holds out for each of us. To realize this vision we seek to truly care for the whole child by maintaining the best atmosphere for physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual growth.

There are two vital ingredients in achieving this vision. One is a family-like atmosphere at our Center, which is pleasant for both the children and staff who spend long hours there each week. We must commit to creating and maintaining such an atmosphere. Secondly, since high-quality care and teaching is a value to us we must demonstrate that we value the teachers and caregivers, our staff. It is our firm belief that the success of our mission in the Center will hinge on the sense of well being, significance, support, and inclusion that our staff experiences from the congregation, leadership, and management.

We want to care not only for the whole child, but the family and community. Therefore, we will also reach out to the families and community by offering a variety of needs-based programming. Additionally, we intend to make our facilities available for other community-based groups.

Just as Christ came as God in the flesh to show us the Father's love, so we believe that a Child Care Center is a very powerful form of Christian Love. We, too, want to show God's love by "being Christ" through our actions and service. We are aware that we cannot simply open this Child Care Center, but must also have an operative strategy of evangelism to each family. Only then we will make an impact and see people brought to an active faith in Christ.

Our only limits are our holy imagination and our faith in Him who says, "nothing is impossible with God."
