Education at First Lutheran
Mission
Jesus in his great commission said,
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and
teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded
you." (Matthew 28:19-20)
Jesus' words and actions clearly teach that learning and faithfulness are
bound together. We at First Lutheran Church take our responsibility to teach
and to learn seriously and believe that our formation as disciples of Jesus
Christ is a life-long journey.

Sunday School for Children - Sundays at 9:15 AM (September - June)
Sunday School begins with all of the children's classes gathering together for
prayer and song. Then, based on age and ability, children from ages 2 to 10
go to one of three classes: pre-elementary, lower-elementary, and upper-
elementary. We use a lectionary based curriculum called Seasons of the
Spirit where the lessons and activities of each class are based on the
lessons that will be heard in worship.
