Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and the ladies of the Circle of Grace is reaching out to the Fairmont Housing Authority for Section-8 Housing. We have committed to providing 137 bottles of laundry detergent to be distributed to each family in single-family units.
Will you reach out to one family? If you will help, please bring one bottle of laundry detergent to the church. These will be distributed when families go to the Fairmont Housing Authority for re-certification. Thank you for sharing with others locally who are in need of your help.
Through the Fairmont Housing Authority , 1500 living units are available in Marion County. One segment contains 137 single family units. The maximum income limit to qualify varies depending on family size and other factors. About two-thirds of these families are single-parent families including single-parent custodial-fathers and their children. Various assistance programs are available to help those in need. However, items such as laundry detergent, dish soap, body soap, personal hygiene items, toiletries and other such items are currently not available through local assistance programs.
Although this is a current goal, the needs of those who need our help is ongoing. You may direct your help to those helped by the Fairmont Housing Authority anytime by contacting the Church office or any member of the Circle of Grace.
