Glade Run Lutheran Services is a non-profit social service organization founded in 1854 by the Reverend William Passavant and is believed to be the oldest Protestant orphanage in continuous operation in the United States. We provide healing and treatment to over 1000 children, individuals and families each year through a continuum of services that includes: residential programs, in-community services, educational programs, mental health treatment and alternative services. Our 325-acre main campus is located in Zelienople is home to many of our residential programs, as well as our animal-assisted therapy and horticultural therapy programs. Glade Run also reaches out to the community through satellite offices located in Butler, Shadyside and in Northern Pittsburgh.
The Church Council has heard about Glade Run Lutheran Services & their "Building Bridges Appeal". Glade Run Lutheran Services is a Social Service Ministry of the ELCA located in Zelienople, PA.
