This painting on the stairway from the Pastor's office is an interesting part of the history of our Church.

The origen of the painting is vague, and the children in the painting are thought to be of actual children of the congregation at the time of the painting.

My new ongoing project, until completed, will be to determine the history of the painting and identify the children in the painting. The completed project will be archived as part of the history of our Church.

Update 12-26-2004: notice the writing in the lower right area of this picture; it is signed RAYMOND STOKER 1963. Below it and under the frame work is another name and the date looks like 1962. My understanding is that the first artist died before completing the painting and Raymond Stoker completed the painting.
