Basic Core Values

• Personal Relationship with Jesus as Savior, Lord, and God ~ John 14:7-10 (Change occurs when we accept Christ as our Forgiver and Leader [Saviour and Lord] and commit ourselves to God’s will.)
  

• Commitment to the Gospel ~ Romans 1:16-17 (We believe that the gospel is the catalyst for change and the basis for community relationships. We learn this gospel through Bible study, Christ-centred preaching and leadership.)
  
• Worship as the Centre of Church Life ~ Revelation 22:8-9; Exodus 20: 2-6 (Worship is the primary role of the people of God. Includes singing, confessing, teaching time and the Sacraments for building up the body of Christ.)
  
• The Great Commission - Near and Far in Word and Deed ~ Mark 16:14-18; Matthew 28:16-20 (Loving God first then others is vital as we prioritize our lives.)
  
• A Christ-centred World View that Speaks to Our Culture ~ Acts 17:24-34; 1 Corinthians 9:19-22 (Our culture may change, but God's promises remain the same. We live out the gospel contextually.)
  
• Kingdom Vision - We are One Part of the Whole Body of Christ
   ~ 1 Corinthians 16:1-9 John 21:15-19 (Faith matures through relationships!)
  
• Growing Mature, Ministering Disciples ~ Colossians 1:24-29; Acts 5:1-11 (God wants us to live a life of integrity as we live the Christian faith seven days a week before God, family and others)
  
• A Diverse, Loving Community ~ 1 Corinthians 12:12-20; Galatians 3:27-29 (Baptized into Christ, all believers are equal before God and yet, unique. We seek to discover our unique giftedness and allow people to exercise their calling according to their gifts and not according to age, gender, race or class.)
  
• The Nurture of Children and Youth ~ Proverbs 22:6; 1 Timothy 4:12 (We do not believe that our children and youth are the church's future . . . They are the church NOW! We are committed to providing the best children's and youth ministry we possibly can.)
  
• Servanthood & Stewardship Inside and Outside of Hope ~ Mark 9:33-37; I Corinthians 9:23-27 (Excellence is God’s desire for us as we use our time, talents and resources!)
  
• Prayer ~ Matthew 6:5-8; I Timothy 2:1-4 (Prayer sustains us with strength and encouragement. Thus we include prayer in our worship, study groups and daily life.)

Additional Values and Beliefs

We believe that God has revealed God's self as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, (Trinity). ~ Matthew 28:29:19 (We gather to pray, sing, confess and proclaim the Triune God)

We believe Jesus died for our sins and we follow Christ’s teachings. ~ Acts 2:29-42 (Includes accepting Jesus Christ as your Forgiver and Leader [Saviour and Lord])

We believe the Sacraments are a physical gift of God’s grace and includes Baptism for people of all ages and the Eucharist ~ Acts 16:13-15

We believe that God blesses the apostolic, evangelical, confessional, catholic, ecumenical, liturgical, congregational and historical Church. ~ John 15:1-11

We believe that God has called us to be a welcoming congregation and hospitality focused. We strive to be a welcoming congregation. ~ I Thessalonians 1:9-10
