Events and Service Opportunities

The Bread Basket every Saturday morning at 7:45am. Every Saturday morning Rose of Sharon Lutheran provides free bread for those in need.

Preschool Open House on Thursday, February 2, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

LWML Winter Workshop on Saturday, February 4 at St John's Lutheran, Woodbury. Registration 8:30 to 9am. Suggested donation of $5.

Preschool Spaghetti Dinner on February 15, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Adults $6, Children (6-12) $4, Children under 6 are free. Gift baskets available for bid throughout the evening.

Family Movie Night on Friday, Februay 24 at 7pm. Popcorn will be provided. You may bring a snack to share.

Donate Medicine Bottles Ready to use medicine bottles and pill containers are in great demand at the Raphael Community Free Clinic in Kerrville, TX. The clinic provides over 500 free prescriptions per week. Please remove all labels and drop off in box at the church office. Contact Don Palmer

Care Packages for Service Members in Kuwait The Outreach committee will be sending care packages to Rev. Vince Bain an Army Chaplain currently stationed in Kuwait who distributes them to soldiers in more remote areas. The soldiers really enjoy getting cards, notes, letters on what is happening at home. Also children's artwork and homemade cookies. Please Saran wrap cookies in twos or threes for distribution. There is a collection box in the Narthex. Contact Anita Fox

Youth Events and Service Opportunities

Youth Service Day on Sunday, February 5 at 11am. We'll be going to TheAlley Lutheran Church to assist putting together survival kits for 363 Ministries.

Overnight Skiing at Welch Village on Friday, Februay 10 at 9:15pm. Meet at St Thomas Aquinas Church in South St Paul. We'll be going with Hope Christian Academy to Welch Village for skiing from 11pm to 4am. This is Welch Village's Christian night lock-in. Cost of $45 includes rental.

Grand Slam Sports for Junior High and LYF (grades 6-12) on Sunday, Februay 19 at 9:15pm. Meet at St Thomas Aquinas Church in South St Paul. We'll be going with Hope Christian Academy and other churches. We'll be renting out the facility from 10:30 pm to 2:30 am. Cost of $25 for 4 game tokens, unlimited miniature golf, laser tag, bumper cars, batting cages, pizza, pop and transportation.
