How To Become A Member
Adults wishing to inquire about the Lutheran faith are asked to schedule discussions
with the Pastor to review the fundamentals of the Christian faith confessed by Lutherans.
For individuals coming to faith in Jesus Christ, the church offers a program of Christian
instruction that leads either to the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and/or the Rite of
Confirmation. This involves an introduction to the basic tenants of the Lutheran faith as
set forth in "Luther's Small Catechism". Another way of becoming a member of
Rose of Sharon involves a reaffirmation of one's faith in Jesus Christ.
Individual discussions are held with the Pastor to accomplish this process.
If you are a Lutheran who has recently moved into the area, our Pastor will be happy to
help you arrange your transfer to Rose of Sharon.
Please speak to the Pastor or call the Church Secretary concerning membership with us
at Rose of Sharon.
We rejoice in the Lord that people are joining Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church. They join
because as children of God they:
- Desire a rich spiritual diet of word and sacraments
- Desire a strong program of Christian Education
- Desire Christian fellowship and friendship
- Desire a church devoted to the whole family
New members are received three times a year during our Sunday Worship Services.
