Bernice E. Musil Memorial Library

Bernice was born Bernice Edna Carlson, January 10th, 1916 on a farm near Cleburne, Kansas.  She was married to Joseph Donald Musil June 29th, 1949 to which four children - Joseph Evan, Mary Ann, Daniel Philip, and Martha Louise, were born.  She died January 11th, 2004 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Bernice was a lover of cooking, gardening, flowers, sewing, music, playing the piano - high school pianist, singing solo and in choir and the  college Messiah, Bible study, nursing and teaching nursing, teaching Sunday School, lectoring in church, parenting and grand parenting her thirteen grandchildren - and all in turn to love to read.  Bernice's hopes and wishes for a library for St. John are now realized.  Initiated by her memorials, aided by additional Memorial funding, and assisted by the time and efforts of many supportive of a library, these resources have made this library a reality.
