WORSHIP

Cross suspended from the ceiling

AS YOU ENTER THE NAVE OF THE CHURCH
your eyes center upon the altar with its two candles.
When you raise your eyes they fall upon this cross and
orb suspended above the altar.

The empty cross symbolizes the resurrected Christ.
The orb signifies that Christ died for the whole world.
This cross with orb replaced the brass cross which
often adorns Lutheran altars. It was hung in the new
church prior to the dedication of the building in 1988.
