Prayers & Squares Quilting Ministry

Can you touch a prayer? Can you pull it close and feel its comfort?
You can if it's part of a prayer quilt. You can be a part of this ministry by adding your prayer to the quilts that are made. As each knot is tied, a silent prayer is offered for someone in special need. The quilt is then given to that person. This is not just a gift of a quilt, it is a gift of love and prayer. It is an affirmation of our faith in God and our belief in His power to comfort, strengthen and heal. Children are welcome, too. This is truly something in which everyone can participate.

Any TLC member can request a quilt for another person who is in need of prayer. We refer to the requestor as the quilt's "sponsor." To sponsor a quilt, please contact the Prayers and Squares Ministry by calling the church office at (858) 560-8688 or sending an e-mail to tlcsdca@sbcglobal.net. You will then be referred to someone in the Prayers and Squares Ministry and that person will review the sponsor responsibilities with you.

If you would like to help make the quilts, the Prayers and Squares Quilters meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 9:00am - 12:00noon in the Fellowship Hall.
